I want to start with this brief disclaimer: Bonnaroo is not perfect. People come back and tell everyone that Bonnaroo is this magical place where nothing bad could ever happen, and everyone has a great time, and everyone loves everyone; no douchebags allowed. This is NOT the case. If you are a Bonnaroo virgin (as I was this year), everything will most likely be terrible. You will never be prepared and don’t bother with your friends, they will not give you good advice. Your lungs will get coated in dust. Your feet will hurt. You will almost pass out in the hot, hot sun.
That being said, Bonnaroo was also awesome!
I played Adult Swim games, went camping for the first time, saw the cliffs of Manchester, and watched sets by The Avett Brothers, The Beach Boys, The Shins, Radiohead, The Roots, Childish Gambino (AKA Donald Glover), and many more.
Unfortunately the weather was less than ideal. For the first three days is was sweltering during the day and freezing at night. The first night, my beautiful blanket was stolen by someone who left a bottle of vodka in its place (so it wasn’t all bad). Then the last night it rained, meaning that the fourth day was spent sitting on the wet ground, and sloshing water out of tents.
There was quite a bit of time spent wearing bandit-hankies in an effort to save our sinuses from the “Roo-Flu”.
Other than the weather, the theft, and being unexpectedly hugged by strangers, it was a lovely weekend!
Also… What happened to Andre 3000?
Anyways, if there are any other Bonnaroovians reading this, let me know! I can add your fabulous photos to this post as well!
First off, the weather for Bonnaroo this year was amazing! Best in YEARS! If you thought this year was hot you may not want to come back.
second, if u had gone to inforoo.com & researched a little, u could have been better prepared. Inforoo has helped thousands prepare for what they’re going to witness on the farm.

I was very prepared to start off but I also had stuff stolen from my camp site (twice). I enjoyed most of Bonnaroo but I feel that often blogs are unrealistic about the day-in, day-out specifics of a 4 day music festival. Thanks for commenting, though!
Hey! I went to roo and was totally prepared! I brought water guns and misters for when it got hot and a tarp for when it rained. I was comfortable the whole time and had one of the best times in my life! My friends that went previous years gave me good instructions on what to bring and what to do. Sorry yours wasnt as good. In terms of people stealing your shit, work for WET (Work Exchange Team) and none of your stuff will get stolen….
